Finally entered the world of e-books

So a Kindle Touch arrived in the post this morning. In the end I caved in and bought one as I needed to be able to access titles that have only been published as e-books. To start myself off I've bought three titles: Patti Abbott, Monkey Justice; Stuart Aylis, Tollesbury Time Forever; Gerard Brennan, Wee Rockets. Looking forward to giving them a read in due course. The paperback version of The Point by Gerard Brennan and Elly Griffiths The Janus Stone also turned up via snail mail this morning. There's every danger of serious growth to the TBR pile occurring!

Welcome to the club Rob...on the bright side your electronic TBR pile will hide neatly away from prying eyes where only you will know the depths of your disease :)

It does make it a lot harder to control the influx! Are you able to buy UK or US Amazon e-books? There are some very good buys on UK Amazon at the moment, eg I have just read Anya Lipska's debut for 77p, which is really good (title is something like Where the Devil Can't Go). You probably saw on FF, but Sarah says that The Blackhouse by Peter May is 99p today - if you haven't read that I highly recommend it, not least at that price!

Welcome to the Dark Side, Rob ;-). I don't even want to think about what my Kindle-for-PC software has done to my TBR... I do hope you'll really enjoy your Kindle. I'm quite sure you'll like Monkey Justic; it's a deliciously creepy set of stories.

Sir, you are a gentleman. Thanks a million for taking a punt on my books.

It automatically connects to US kindle site. The kindle itself could only be bought from US (can't buy from UK site), so I guess I'm locked in there.

Gerard no bother. Looking forward to the reads.

So kind of you, Rob. I have dozens of books on my Kindle now. I find short stories work best for me because I can't read them in bits. I carry it in my purse and pull it out when I have a minute to read.
