I'm visiting Oxford in a couple of weeks time. What I'm looking for is suggestions for good crime fiction set in or around the city that isn't Morse. Any recommendations?
Val McDermid list via Patti Abbott is great and can not be topped, but I'll just add Michael Innes's Death at the President's Lodging. Innes was a don there--well his real life persona J.I.M. Stewart was, so he should know a thing or two about it.

Just finished The Eyes of Lira Kazan by Eve Joly and Judith Perrignon, a great little thriller. Oxford is one of the (several) locations.
I did start "The Oxford Murders" once but could not finish it. Many do recommend it, however.

Thanks for these recommendations. Much appreciated. I'll do a little digging on some of the books and pick one or two to read.
