Always a cheater

 ‘I’m sorry, Cathy.’

‘It’s your loss. And I’m glad your true colours have been revealed. I’ve had a lucky escape.’

‘Escape?’ Kelly snapped. ‘He’s too good for you.’

‘You’re welcome to him, Kelly. Just remember: once a cheater, always a cheater.’

‘He won’t cheat with me!’

‘He already. You were the mistress.’

‘I wasn’t …’

‘Leave it, Kelly,’ Eric said.

‘Why should I? She’s the one …’

‘Who was cheated on,’ Cathy said. ‘Don’t try to make out you’re the aggrieved party.’

‘You …’

‘Though you will be.’

‘I won’t.’

‘Enjoy spending every day wondering if he’s cheating on you.’

A drabble is a story of exactly 100 words.

Cathy's right. A person who cheats on one lover/partner will cheat on others. It's funny how few people actually understand that, and you captured it well here, Rob.
