It's always nice to discover new authors and their stories. Of the 109
books I read in 2014, 70 were by 69 authors that were new to me. I'd be
happy to read other books by just about all of them and no doubt will
over time. Indeed, one of plans for this year is cut back on new authors and catch up with tales by those I've read before.

You are amazing! AND HI from Phil.
Nice list Rob! Well done on all the great reading in 2014. I had a very poor year in terms of books read, numberswise, but I did have some great new-to-me authors too, including Arild Stavrum, Craig Robertson, PM Newton, Ben Atkins, and Luca Veste, amongst others.
Hi Patti, I'm sure Phil might find something to his taste on the 1930-50s tab above.
Craig, I'll look those authors up and also track down some New Zealand crime fiction.
Well, not many NZ authors are published in the UK, but you could try Paul Thomas's FALLOUT, which is released by Bitter Lemon Press in March. Terrific author, won the Ngaio Marsh Award in 2013 and the Ned Kelly Award back in the mid 1990s (he had a 15-year gap between books 3 and 4 in the series).
