Many a true word said in jest

‘And your belt, Sir.’

‘It doesn’t set off the alarm.’

‘If you could just put the belt into the tray, Sir.’

‘But it’s just a belt.’

‘With a metal buckle.’

‘That doesn’t set off the alarm.’

‘This is not a negotiation. And your shoes. Do you have any liquids in the bag, Sir?’

‘Yeah, two acids that when they’re mixed together create an explosive cocktail. What do you think, Poirot?’

‘Are you telling me that you have a home-made bomb in the bag?’

‘No! It was a joke.’

‘We don’t do jokes, Sir. What we do is full cavity searches.’

A drabble is a story of exactly 100 words.

As Margot says...

I have sometimes felt tempted to say I didn´t carry any weapons sharper than my pen, but I have always thought better of it :)

I've done research on airport security and it's really not worth doing anything other than participating in the theatre of security.
